Agents don’t see your theme, your photography, or your ad spend. They read product data from stores that speak their language, weigh the options, and pick a winner. Stores they can’t read aren’t in the running at all — and you never find out about the sale you lost.

ecentic connects your store to the Universal Commerce Protocol, the standard Google and Shopify launched for AI agent commerce, so ChatGPT, Gemini and any other UCP-compatible agent can read your catalog. Your products get judged on what matters: price, specs, availability and shipping.

Sell at your real prices, with no surprises

Every price an agent sees is worked out by your actual WooCommerce cart.

Your tax rules, shipping zones, coupons and pricing plugins all apply, exactly as they do for a human shopper. Agents quote what you would really charge, so nothing changes between the recommendation and the receipt — and no cart is abandoned over a number that moved.

When an agent checks out, you get a normal WooCommerce order, marked as an agent sale so you can see exactly what this channel earns you. Your fulfilment, emails and reports carry on working the way they already do.

Keep your customers, your checkout, and your brand

You stay the merchant of record. No marketplace sits between you and the buyer, and no one else owns the relationship.

Nothing about your storefront changes — agents find you at your own web address, and customers who connect their assistant to your store sign in on your site rather than a third party’s.

How you get paid is still your call. Let the buyer pay on your own checkout page, or have the payment taken automatically through the Stripe gateway you already use.

Choose which agents you do business with

Leave your store open to every AI agent that finds you, or approve a short list of platforms you’re happy to sell through.

You can add an API key, limit how often an agent may call your store, and hide out-of-stock products from agents entirely. Everything is a single screen under WooCommerce → UCP (AI Agents), and changes take effect as soon as you save.

Set up in five minutes

Install the plugin, open the settings screen, and click Connect to ecentic.ai. That’s it.

Nothing about your store is sent anywhere until you click Connect, and you approve the connection yourself while logged in to your own site. From then on, product search, carts, checkout and order updates are handled by ecentic on your store’s behalf, so there’s nothing extra for you to run or maintain.

Disconnect whenever you like, from your own WooCommerce settings.

Works with the store you already have

Variable products, coupon codes and live shipping rates all behave for agents the way they do on your storefront. Agent platforms are notified automatically when an order is created or updated, so buyers get the status of their order without you lifting a finger. Compatible with WooCommerce’s high-performance order storage and the cart and checkout blocks.

For developers

Endpoints added: /.well-known/ucp, /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server (RFC 8414), /ucp-oauth/authorize|token|revoke, /ucp-connect/* (OAuth 2.0 + PKCE), and a private wc-ucp/v1 bridge callable only with this store’s WooCommerce REST credentials. Requests and order webhooks are signed to RFC 9421 with Standard Webhooks headers. Orders are created through the native WooCommerce checkout internals with created_via = ucp, and HPOS is fully supported. Filters: ecentic_ucp_process_instrument, ecentic_ucp_payment_handlers, ecentic_ucp_identity_scopes, ecentic_ucp_stripe_secret_key.

External services

This plugin connects to the services below. Nothing is sent to any of them until you connect your store (see Installation) or switch on the specific feature described.

ecentic (ecentic.ai) — required

ecentic is the hosted service that answers AI agents for you: product search, carts, checkout, and order updates. The plugin is the store-side half — without it, your store isn’t served to agents at all.

• What is sent, and when. Nothing on installation or activation. When you click Connect to ecentic.ai, your store URL, API URL and site name are sent to start the connection. Once you approve it, ecentic uses the WooCommerce API key you issued to read your products and store details (currency, shipping options, links to your legal pages, and your settings on this screen) when agents ask for them, and receives the orders agents place — line items, totals, and the buyer’s shipping and contact details you need to fulfil the order. Your site also refreshes its copy of your public profile at /.well-known/ucp about every 5 minutes.
• What is never sent. Payment secrets such as your Stripe key, customer passwords, and your WooCommerce database stay on your site.

Stripe (api.stripe.com) — optional, off by default

Used only if you switch on Server-side Payments (Stripe) and already run the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway. When an AI agent completes a checkout, your site asks Stripe to charge the payment method the buyer approved, sending the payment token, the amount and currency, and the order number. It uses the Stripe key already configured on your own site — that key never leaves your server, and nothing is sent to Stripe while the setting is off.

Google Pay — optional, listing only

If you enter a Google Pay merchant ID, your store lists Google Pay as an accepted payment method in its public profile. The plugin sends Google nothing; any Google Pay step happens between the buyer’s AI agent and Google.
